Amy (PlaiderPillar) makes plaid caterpillars. PlaiderPillar . . . Get it? Well, she makes other stuff too, like monsters that will devour you, birds that will peck you, and rabbits that look maybe a little too ominous. Her medium of choice is fabric, but has ventured into sawdust, inflatable balls, epoxy, and upholstery. PlaiderPillar got her BS at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in Textile and Apparel design, and has sewn all her life. She designs inflatable mascot costumes by day, and since July of 2007 has spent her evenings fabricating creatures in her studio at Hot Shops Art Center. Oh!
